 New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada:
Emergencies don’t play by the rules. They don’t care about our roads, our equipment, and our assumptions. Neither does the EFS Fire Chief.

This new category of fire fighting vehicle thrives on extremes: No emergency is too remote or too confined no scenario too unlikely -- it takes the fight to the fire, anywhere, anytime.

It combines the ruggedness of the world’s leading amphibious commercial vehicle, the ARGO 8x8 Centaur, with a custom fire fighting setup provided by EFS (Elmira Farm Service) and Quebec’s CET.

The result is a fire fighting/SAR all-terrain vehicle that goes where no other fire truck can, which makes it an ideal addition to any urban or rural fire fighting fleet.

The EFS Fire Chief comes equipped with a custom removable poly tank and a suppression foam tank, making it fully effective against car, grass, or crop fires. Victims can be transferred with the help of an on-board basket, which doubles as equipment storage on the way to the scene.

At the heart of the Fire Chief is ARGO’s Centaur 8x8. These unique off-road vehicles have a proven record around the globe in utility management, natural resource exploration, the public sector, defense and forestry.

Produced since 1967, every ARGO is backed by decades of experience in the design and manufacturing of off-road vehicles. Today, ARGO is the world’s largest manufacturer of lightweight amphibious vehicles and innovative off-road platforms.
