It all began back in 1939 when Kirk Herman’s grandfather started the OJ Herman Company in Bay City, Michigan. Kirk is the current owner of OJ Herman Co. and a proud third generation owner, only 8%of businesses have made it that far.

He is one of the most successful ARGO dealers in the country and he has been selling the ARGO line for the past nine years. We talked about what has gotten them to that level and his first response was “knowledge of the product”. He is a firm believer in “eating, sleeping, and breathing the ARGO line”. That has brought customers back time and time again. It also helps when your staff have the same beliefs. Kirk and the crew do the other things that it also takes, running ads in local publications on a regular basis, have an ARGO in the local mall for display, and most important they attend every trade show that they can find the time to do, about six to seven a year.

Kirk says his business has grown over 400% just in the last six months. He also believes that keeping a full parts and accessories inventory has contributed to higher numbers, he keeps two to three of every accessory in stock at all times. Kirk has made the commitment to keep an inventory and it is really paying off.
